Template Management
For all the
Premiership football fans out there this movie will teach you how to customize the '
England Football Zone' Joomla template.
I. To start, you need to log into your Joomla Admin Panel.
II. Enter your username and password and click the LOGIN button.
III. Select Template Manager from the Extensions tab of the main navigation menu. In this video example - the default template is '
Mini Website-Builder'.
IV. Select '
England Football Zone' from the list of
Joomla templates already installed in your Admin Panel and click the ‘Default’ button to make the template a default skin for your Joomla site.
V. When ready, click on the template’s name link to start customizing the template theme.
Change Page Alignment is the first template customisation option supported by this Joomla template.
The centre alignment option is activated by default in the edit template panel.
1. To see how the template will look like with this option activated simply click open the Preview link in a new browser tab. This will open for you the template preview page, where you will be able to see all current changes to the template from now on.
2. If you want to change the page alignment position of the template you should go back to the Joomla Admin Panel.
3. Select either the left or the right option and then click the Apply button.
4. Go to the live preview page of the template and click the refresh button of your browser to see the alignment update reflected online. The template is now aligned to the left side of your screen.
We will show you how to update the
Team Theme of the '
England Football Zone' template.
1. Go back to the edit template section.
2. Select the English football team you are a fan of from the Team Variation drop down menu.
3. Click the Apply button.
3. Now go to the template preview page and click the refresh button of your browser to see the Team Variation update reflected online. In our example, we have changed the default football theme from
Manchester United to
Arsenal.
Another template customisation option is to
Change the Background Theme for your website.
1. Go back to the edit template section.
2. Select the desired background colour from the Background Variation drop down menu.
3. Click the Apply button.
4. Open again the template preview page and click the refresh button of your browser to see the background colour update reflected online.
The next customisation step is to
Change the Logo Font for your Joomla site.
1. Select the desired logo font from the Logo Font drop down option, in our example this would be Times New Roman.
2. Click the Apply button.
3. Open the template preview page and update the logo font change by clicking the refresh button of your browser.
The next customisation option is to
Display or Hide the Date.
1. In the edit template section select No for the Date Display option.
2. Click the Apply button.
3. Open the template preview page and refresh your browser to reflect the date display update online. You will see the date disappear from the right part of the navigation bar.
Another customisation step is to
Display or Hide the Logo image.
1. To do this
go to the Hide Logo option in the edit template section.
2. Select Yes and click Apply.
3. To see the updates reflected online again click the Refresh button of your browser. Now the default logo image of Arsenal gets removed from the template’s index page.
Here is the last customisation option
Display or Hide Banner Area.
If you need to remove the banner area...
1. Tick off the Yes for
Hide Banner Area.
2. Click Apply.
3. Again, to see the change reflected online refresh the browser session by clicking the reload button.
These are all customisation options supported by '
England Football Zone'.
To save all the changes and have them reflected online in real time you need to click the
Save button.
